Sally Lofting Equestrian is primarily a Dressage and Eventing barn. Our team consists of Sally McKechnie, the head trainer and coach and Hugh Lofting, Sally’s husband/driver/fix-it man/jokester/social co-coordinator. Of course, all our boarders and owners who board and train with us here who are very much part of our team as well. In addition, Sally is sponsored by LocalEquineServices.com, a searchable database of products and services for the horse owner/trainer/rider, and LocalEquineServices.com is responsible for the development and maintenance of this website.

Our goal is to produce riders with a good all-round balanced seat who have the skills to produce elegant rides in the dressage ring as well as making calculated safe rides in the cross country field of the eventing world. We have students that are based full time with us here and others that trailer-in when needed. We also have a select few of the best school ponies and horses available for our leasing program.

Sally takes horses in for training and/or resale, and is renowned for bringing young horses up through the ranks. She also has a knack for handling difficult horses and correcting training issues. Over the years, Sally has trained and nurtured 10 horses to the upper levels of Eventing (Intermediate/Advanced) which have all been sold on to continue their successful careers. Currently, we have students ranging from the beginners just learning the basics, to the competitive young riders/juniors and adult amateurs, in both Eventing and Dressage.
